No más HSBC / No more HSBC

Te comparto que a partir de hoy Bethics (la empresa que reciéntemente creamos para contribuir al fortalecimiento de la socieda civil)  ha iniciado el proceso de cierre de nuestra cuenta con el banco HSBC, debido a su participación en el reciente escándalo sobre lavado de dinero.

Let me share with you that as of today Bethics (the company we recently created to contribute towards the strengthening of the civil society) has started the process of terminating its relationship with HSBC, due to the bank's involvement in the recent publicized money laundering scandal.

Congruentes con nuestra filosofía de negocios, consideramos poco ético continuar trabajando con ese banco y, a través de esta acción, deseamos expresar nuestro repudio a procederes poco transparentes que puedan ser perjudiciales para nuestra sociedad.

In line with our business philosophy we have found unethical to continue working with that bank. This is a way for us to express our concern and voice our opinion against the lack of transparency that could be harmul to our society. 

Nosotros, al ser una pequeña empresa, no tenemos gran influencia en relación a un banco con tales dimensiones, pero terminar nuestra relación con HSBC es una forma de actuar y alzar nuestra voz. Ojalá otras empresas, organizaciones e individuos reflexionen también y tomen cartas sobre el asunto a nombre de México y a nombre de un mundo mejor.

We, as a small business, do not have much leverage with a bank like HSBC, but for us this is a way take action and make it unequivocally clear that such practices are not acceptable. Hopefully other companies, organizations and individuals will reflect on the matter and will take an action on behalf of México and on behalf of a better world.
